What is Tai Chi Gung?
We’re thrilled that you’ve discovered the transformative practice of Tai Chi Gung. You’ve taken the first step on a journey that has the potential to profoundly impact your life, just as it has for countless others around the globe. Let’s explore what makes Tai Chi Gung so special and why we’re excited to share it with you.
The Universal Appeal of Tai Chi Gung
Tai Chi Gung isn’t just another exercise routine or meditation practice. It’s a holistic approach to wellness that integrates mind, body, and spirit in a way that’s accessible to everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or background.
Even so, in the end, it matters most that it works for you and that it’s a good fit for you in your life!
The Founder of Tai Chi Gung
Tai Chi Gung was developed by a yoga master from India who spent more than 50 years immersed in Nature. In China, this great sage was known as Lao Tzu. After serving the emperor of the middle kingdom for several decades, Lao Tzu took his regenerative art to Tibet.
What do the exercises do?
The benefits of this regenerative are in the name itself. Tai is grand, or life. Chi is energy or the life force. Gung is the body or physical temple. Tai Chi Gung merges movement and breath with the chi to bring the body into balance with Nature.

David Paul: Certified Tai Chi Gung Master
“I found Tai Chi Gung in my mid 20s while playing full time in a symphony. The relief from the stress of performing was incredible. When my Kundalini opened, the creativity in music went through the roof.
I’ve been teaching Tai Chi Gung for more than 25 years. It’s become one of my soul’s passions.
One thing I really like about Lao Tzu’s system is that the exercises are simple, like scales and arpeggios in music. You go in depth and really learn what the movements do to raise your energy.” ~ David Paul
Common Questions

What should I wear?
Regular street clothes are quite comfortable. The class is done standing up. We won’t even break a sweat.
Will I be lost if I miss a class?
For those who want to excel, David offers live classes online as well. However, whether it is your first class, or your second month, or your fifth year, you’ll go through the same set of exercises. Each student goes deeper into their experience of the chi, following the same outline that was given to use by Lao Tzu more than 3000 years ago.
